About me

A few words about me..

It's quite difficult to describe myself, however I'll try. As you surely noticed, my name is Marcel Dziedzic. I'm 25 years old. Currently I'm studing at the Univesity of Science and Technology AGH in Cracow. I also work in MrTed company, where I'm involved in creating the websites. It's my job as well a kind of hobby. I like creating the new, unique projects. More information about it you can find in work section. You can also see my portfolio. I'm just wondering, how to say something about myself, without being suspected of being a narcissist. It's not as easy as I thought it would be. Let say, I'm an ambitious, creative and vibrant person. There are a lots of crazy ideas in my mind. I'm Communicative person, however a bit malicious and unbearable sometimes!

About this site.

I would like to have a piece of internet only for myself. That's why I've made this website. Besides it's a nice way to give the others a chance to meet me. This is the 4th part of my personal showcase. What is a difference between this site and the rest? Well, during the las few years of my hard work as a web designer, my creating, coding and designing skills have vastly improved. So, every few months I try to update my showcase, add some new features. I've collected a small history with my personal websites. This "book" includes 4 parts, so far. If you are intrested in any of them, click on the chosen chapter below:

Chapter I - "A Nightmare"

I remember my first website. It was a table-based site. Without semantics, with minimum of CSS.. nightmare. The beginning of creating websites was difficult so I have a sentiment for my first site. Unfortunately, I haven't got a screenshots to show you, but you don't lose much :).

Chapter II - "The Flowers"

When I met a world of W3C I tried to drop a "table" for layouts and decided to start creating the sites in correctly way. "Flowers" wasn't a semantic site, it had a lot of mistakes with (x)HTML structure and CSS. Accessibility and usability wasn't also on high level. It was a very hard and difficult beginning for me, especially in the new age of web designing…

Chapter III - "The big foot"

It's a previous version of marceldziedzic.com. I do like this project a lot. I've been designing it for only 2 hours. Nice idea. Few CSS. Correct, semantic code. That was it. you can visit it. I haven't been updating it for a long time so the most information enclosed there are obsolete! Keep it in your mind please :).

Very small specification.

The website you are currently watching now is prepared by 3 separate parts. I've used XHTML 1.0 to write the page structure. CSS is resposible for a presentation layer. For behaviour - JavaScript. These 3 things are absolutely separated so even if your browser dosn't support one of them you will still be able to watch my website.

Will be the next part?

Well, I'm not going to change my profession. Every day I spend a lot of time to learn a new technologies, techniques and other aspects of web designing so surely in the future, the next part of my "book" will be available. I do believe it, however lately I haven't got enough time to maintain my website. I promise to change it :).

Is it true?

Fortunately not. I don't smoke :) !
